Career Advance Colorado

Starting in August 2023, students who enroll in the eligible programs listed below will have their tuition, fees, course materials, and other costs covered while funding is available.

Eligible programs:  Construction Pre-Apprenticeship, HVAC, Welding 1 and Welding 2, Nurse Assisting or Practical Nursing

Colorado Promise

Colorado Promise provides students with tuition and fees for their first two years of college in the form of a yearly refundable tax credit if they have a family income of $90,000 or less.

Starting in fall 2024, students who enroll in a qualifying program will have tuition and fees covered in the form of a tax credit, after scholarships and grants, and can begin claiming the credit on their 2025 taxes.

As this is a tax credit, students are required to first pay for their tuition and fees upfront and can then request reimbursement through a tax credit when they file taxes for the year.

Eligible programs: Automotive Collision Repair, Automotive Service, Computer Networking, Culinary Arts, Dental Assisting, HVAC, Massage Therapy, Medical Assisting, Nurse Assisting, Practical Nursing, Water Quality Management, Welding 1 & 2

Opportunity Next

This one-time scholarship of up to $1,500 per student can help cover tuition, fees, books, and equipment in the 2024-2025 academic year, and will prioritize those who pursue a high-priority pathway. Funds are available on a first come, first served basis.

Must be Class of 2024 (high school graduate or GED/HSE completer) by June 30, 2024.

Eligible programs: Automotive Collision Repair, Automotive Service, Computer Networking, Culinary Arts, Dental Assisting, HVAC, Massage Therapy, Medical Assisting, Nurse Assisting, Practical Nursing, Water Quality Management, Welding 1 & 2

Eligible Apprenticeships: Bricklayer, Carpenter, Electrician (Inside and Residential), HVAC, Ironworker, Pipefitters, Plumber, Sheet Metal Worker, Steel Fabrication, Voice Data Video Technician
