What is opportunity next?

Opportunity Next helps students from the Class of 2024 (and equivalent completers, like someone who earned their GED) gain the skills necessary to make it in the careers powering Colorado forward. Opportunity Next was created by the state of Colorado, which allocated $25,000,000 to accelerate skill development among graduating high school seniors. The goal of the program is to make sure students are prepared to succeed in Colorado’s fast-growing purpose-driven careers.

This one-time scholarship of up to $1,500 per student can help cover tuition, fees, books, and equipment in the 2024-2025 academic year, and will prioritize those who pursue a high-priority pathway. Funds are available on a first come, first served basis.
