Automotive Service will give you hands-on experience working on real cars with the latest engine analyzers, handheld scanners and other computerized diagnostic equipment. Choose between our full-time program, the part-time afternoon or evening program. You will learn about all aspects of car repair including:

You will be provided:
- Toolkit
- Safety Glasses
- Electronic textbook
- Personal Chromebook
You must purchase:
- Closed-toe and slip-resistant shoes
- Jeans/canvas pants (no holes)
- Tshirt or work shirt
- Pen/pencil
- Excessive odors from smoke, perfume, or other sources will not be tolerated.
- Emily Griffith Student ID visible at all times during class and school events.
- You cannot wear:
- Sunglasses indoors
- No sagging pants
- No earbuds or headphones in the classroom or lab
This program has a strict attendance policy that will be reviewed at orientation.
- You are not allowed to miss more than 1 class period per course as a full-time student or 2 class periods as a part-time student (8 hours total); if you miss more than 1 or 2 class periods of the course hours a referral will be made to your Student Success Coordinator.
- This resets at each course throughout the program and this includes arriving late and leaving early
- Tradiness for over 30 minutes without notification may result in being sent home
- Multiple absences or tardies will result in a failing grade and removal from the program
- Missed hours cannot be made up. You will need to re-enroll in a future cohort.
- Enrollment in future cohorts is dependent on pending space and availability.

Program Requirements
By applying to this program, you understand the Academic Preparedness and Physical Requirements below.
- English language proficiency (reading, writing, speaking, and listening).
- Understanding of basic algebra.
- Use hands and fingers to assemble very small objects, manipulate objects, tools, and controls.
- Make repetitive motions that include, but are not limited to bending, stretching, standing, crouching, crawling, and walking.
- Occasionally climb, or balance.
- React quickly with physical movements.
- Follow safety procedures and wear required safety equipment, when necessary.
- Tolerate many odors.
- See differences between colors, shades, brightness, and distances.
- Differentiate, determine, and focus on a single source of sound while ignoring others.
- Lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects.
- Remain physically active for extended periods of time without getting tired, or out of breath.
- Communicate effectively with instructor(s), classmates, and clients.
- Adjust body movements or equipment controls to keep pace with changes in speed of moving objects.
- Capable of lifting 30 pounds.
- Capable of sustained activity for 5 hours at a time.
- Students are not allowed to work during scheduled class hours.
