TABE Equivalency Requirements
If you have taken a different assessment test, such as the ACT or SAT within the last three years, you may be able to waive the TABE Assessment if you scores meet the TABE Equivalent score for the program of interest. Previous Accuplacer, MAP, CCPT, CASAS, or TABE scores within one year may provide an acceptable waiver as well.
If you believe your previous assessment scores meet these criteria, you MUST to bring your official scoresheet or unofficial transcript in to the Welcome Center to discuss your scores with an advisor.
Previous college courses
If you have previously attended college and have earned a C grade or higher in an English 121 or Math 108 course, you may also be able to waive the TABE Assessment.
If you think you may be able to waive the TABE Assessment because you have taken a college level English or Math course and earned a C grade or higher, you MUST to bring an official or unofficial transcript in to the Admissions office to discuss the course and whether it meets our requirements with an advisor.
If you are applying for our Practical Nursing (LPN) program, you cannot waive the TABE Assessment.
