Start your career in healthcare!
Becoming a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) is a great way to start your career in healthcare! CNAs can work in a wide variety of health care environments, including hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation facilities, mental health facilities, and schools. The Nurse Assisting program at Emily Griffith Technical College is your first step toward that career!
In just 8 weeks, you can be ready to take the certification exam and get an entry-level position as a CNA helping people in your community. Other perks of our program include:
- one of the lowest tuition rates in the Denver area
- hands-on experience in our nurse assisting lab
- both day and evening classes offered to fit into your schedule
- our CNAs can go on to become Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), Registered Nurse (RN), or take on other roles in health care
Our program meets the Colorado OBRA certification requirements and is approved by the State Board of Nursing; successful graduates are eligible to take the state certification exam.
A reading test is required for entrance into the program. Additional costs, which are not included in the tuition, for this program include book, uniforms, watch with second hand, and fees associated with state board testing. Proof of a negative TB test is required prior to the clinical rotation.
