A Letter from the Executive Director

Hello, and Welcome to Emily Griffith Technical College!

As Colorado’s largest public technical college, EGTC serves more than 7,500 students annually. Our dedicated faculty and staff are committed to student success, ensuring people achieve their educational goals.

Our Vision statement alludes to our wanting to be the “premier college of excellence in the delivery of career and technical education.” This is reflected in our high completion and job placement rates overall as an institution.

The 2016-17 academic year is shaping up to be one of our best years yet. It will mark our third year of serving students in our downtown campus and our second year at our branch campus at 1205 Osage. Couple those with our instructional service center serving students in our Video Production and Editing program and you see why we're excited for this academic year.

EGTC is proud to have landed at #19 for the past two years in the Book of Lists of “largest public colleges and universities in Colorado,” produced by the Denver Business Journal. This ranking is due in large part to one of the lowest in-state tuition price points in Colorado, dynamic training options, and our partnership with the Emily Griffith Foundation in our collaborative goal to graduate our students debt free.

In 2016 we celebrate our 100th year of providing affordable, high-quality education to students from age 16 via concurrent enrollment, to adults re-careering and entering the workforce with marketable skills, and to a diverse population of students engaged in our pre-college programs. At EGTC, we pride ourselves on offering many relevant certificate program options for our students, as well as our increased role in workforce development and training. And even though our educational opportunities are highly affordable, we offer financial aid and scholarship assistance for qualifying students.

Take a close look at Denver’s technical college of choice and apply today – we hope you’ll join us as we provide opportunities for all who wish to learn!
