Emily Griffith Graduation Ceremony

On June 2 at 10:00 a.m., Emily Griffith Technical College's graduation will take place at the Boettcher Concert Hall located at 1000 14th St, Denver, CO 80202.  Students arrive at 8:00 a.m.

Tickets are not required to attend the event. Students do not need to register for graduation. Your instructor will provide your name to be recognized in the graduation program.  You will receive your gown at 8:00 a.m. the morning of graduation.

Students who have completed their programs and earned their certificates in the 2016-2017 academic year or who will have completed their programs by July 31, 2017 will be recognized at the graduation.

The graduation ceremony is for all students completing their programs throughout Emily Griffith Technical College including in the Colleges:
The ceremony will be a combined celebration of graduates from Emily Griffith Technical College and Emily Griffith High School.  

Dress Attire

Caps and gowns will be provided for all graduating students to borrow at no charge.  You will receive your cap and gown on the morning of graduation and return them after the ceremony.   Students must arrive at 8:00 a.m. for fitting and to receive their cap and gown.  The tassel is yours to keep!  There are no gown fittings prior to graduation day. You will be fitted at 8:00 on the morning of graduation. We have a range of sizes.  


Student & Staff Arrival

Graduating students and Emily Griffith staff arrive at 8:00 a.m. at the entrance marked “Stage Entrance” of Boettcher Concert Hall located on 13th Street between Arapahoe and Champa Streets (from Speer Blvd, you turn onto Arapahoe).  All students must arrive at 8:00 a.m.  Everyone must show an ID when entering Boettcher through the stage entrance (a driver's license, student ID or state ID will suffice).

Disability Accommodations

At graduation, we will accommodate the needs of all of our students and guests. Please contact Tisha Corbett at Tisha.Corbett@EmilyGriffith.edu  no later than May 22 if you will need assistance at graduation. 



Photographers will be on stage to capture pictures of your big moment.  A photographer will also photograph a portrait of you in your cap and gown after you have walked across stage. Ten days after graduation, you will be able to purchase your pictures at https://events.lifetouch.com.


Parking & Transportation

Paid parking is available at the Denver Complex for Performing Arts and at the Convention Center, however guests are encouraged to utilize public transportation.  The nearest lightrail stop is the Convention Center/Theatre District Station.
