Student & Staff Arrival

Time: Staff 7:45 a.m.; Students 8:00 a.m.
Graduating students arrive at 8:00 a.m. at the entrance marked “Stage Entrance” of Boettcher Concert Hall located on 13th Street between Arapahoe and Champa Streets (from Speer Blvd, you turn onto Arapahoe).  All students must arrive at 8:00 a.m.

Guest Arrival (family & friends)
Guests will enter through the main entrance of Boettcher Concert Hall Address: 1000 14th St, Denver, CO 80202. Click here for a map to the main entrance of Boettcher Concert Hall (yes, the two zip codes are in fact different).  The ceremony starts promptly at 10:00 a.m.

Gowns & Attire
Emily Griffith Technical College students have two options for caps and gowns: 
  1. Purchase a NEW cap and gown (deadline: May18) OR 

  2. Borrow a cap and gown on the morning of graduation.  Students must arrive at 8:00 a.m. to receive their cap and gown. Students will not need to do a gown fitting prior to graduation day.  You will return the gown after the ceremony and keep the cap and tassel.
If you purchased a new gown, you can pick it up at the Treasurer's Office at our main campus in downtown at 1860 Lincoln St. Denver, CO 80203 on May 31.  Please note, the deadline to purchase a gown was May 18.
In addition to the cap and gown, students should also dress nicely for the occasion. 
Parking and Transportation 
Paid parking is available at the Denver Complex for Performing Arts and at the Convention Center, however guests are encouraged to utilize public transportation.  The nearest light rail stop is one block away at the Convention Center/Theatre District Station.
Students do not need to do a rehearsal.  Tech College Faculty will line up at 8:45 a.m. and do a walk through rehearsal of the procession at Boettcher on the morning of graduation so that everyone is clear on where to go.​
