On May 3 from 4 - 9 p.m., meet Chef Alex Seidel of FruItion and Mercantile Dining & Provision, along with Chef Lachlan Patterson of Frasca Food & Wine and Pizzeria Locale, to help raise kneaded dough for a great cause!
Just visit Pizzeria Locale at 6th and Broadway between 4 - 9 p.m. on May 3 and mention this fundraiser to the cashier at checkout. Do that and 50% of the sales will be donated to the Culinary Quick Start program at Emily Griffith Technical College.
Don't miss your chance to try the CARBONARA, a specialty pizza from Chef Seidel, available all of May. It features smoked mozzarella/Fruition Farms ricotta/prosciutto/egg yolks/creme fraiche/sweet peas/red onion.
What is Culinary Quick Start?
In a unique collaboration with Eat Denver and Sage Restaurant Group, Emily Griffith Technical College developed a comprehensive and concentrated program to train people to become a line or prep cook. After only four weeks, students are guaranteed a connection to more than 100 restaurants which currently have job openings. Many of these restaurants were involved in developing the curriculum so it meets industry standards and some popular area chefs will participate in the training.
The training is FREE and open to interested students who can attend class Monday through Friday from 5:30 – 9:30 p.m. at the Emily Griffith Campus located at 1860 Lincoln Street.
