Female Esthetician Student Performs Facial Treatment on Client at Emily's Spa in Denver, CO

In our Esthetician program, you will learn how to analyze a client’s skin, discuss treatments, apply makeup, and recommend skincare products. Plus, you’ll learn advanced methods that many other skincare programs don’t teach in their introductory courses, including microdermabrasion and chemical peels.

Plus, you’ll get the chance to practice and gain real-world experience working with clients on-site at Emily’s Spa

  • Get your student ID. You can get your student ID at Treasury.
  • The program is offered at our Branch Campus: 1205 Osage St., Denver, CO.
  • The program is delivered in a hybrid format. Meaning some of your instruction, class time, and coursework will be completed at home and some will be done in the classroom/clinic.
    • Students are expected to be in a learning environment doing coursework for the duration of class time. Students are not allowed to work during scheduled class hours.
    • Your instructor will inform you of your on-site class hours and provide you with your virtual Google Meet link a week before class starts.
  • Due to the delivery, this program will require computer use and internet access. If you need assistance obtaining technology, please contact student.success@emilygriffith.edu.
  • Assignments completed virtually will be done using our learning system, Moodle. You will not be able to access Moodle until you have paid for your classes.
  • The textbook and classroom kit are included in your tuition and fees. You will receive these items in class. Used textbooks and opened kits may not be returned.
  • Black scrubs or a white esthetician lab coat. These items are available for purchase from Amazon, Walmart, Crazy Scrubs, Scrubs and Beyond (Colorado Mills).
  • You must follow all school policies for in-person and virtual learning at all times.

  • Attendance is important and required in order to successfully complete the Esthetician Program and become state licensed. You will review these policies on our first day of class.

  • Nails must be kept short for our program. We MUST follow our rules and regulations, Department of Regulatory Agencies, aka DORA, for The State of Colorado to protect ourselves and our clients.

  • Students cannot be on any acne medication, including Accutane, tetracyclin, or macrolide, during the program due to the contraindications of the prescription and hands-on learning. 

  • Students cannot be on Retin A during our program due to the contraindications of the prescription and hands-on learning.

  • Due to the contraindications and interference of hands-on learning, do not schedule any cosmetic surgery procedures during the program.

  • Due to the contraindications and interference of hands-on learning, do not schedule any permanent makeup procedures during the program.

Attendance is important and required in order to successfully complete this program and become state-licensed.

  • Student IDs must be worn at all times while on school property and during any off-campus school activities.
  • You are required to wear a mask that covers your mouth and nose when performing procedures and modalities.
  • You are required to wear black scrubs or a white esthetician lab coat (with business casual attire underneath the esthetician lab coat) unless otherwise directed.
  • Professional and comfortable shoes must be worn at all times.
  • No jeans. No shorts. No clothes with holes. No revealing clothing. No flip-flops.
  • Students not following the dress code will be asked to change or leave. Being asked to leave will count as missed time.
