Emily Griffith Technical College (EGTC) is an open admission institution, this allows for all who wish to learn to attend. We welcome all people, regardless of age, race or education level, who want to expand their horizons and chart their own course for success. Most EGTC programs require a minimum level of reading and math ability, which varies depending on the program. EGTC uses the TABE test, and scores are valid for one year after the test date. Students who do not meet the minimum entry score requirement may re-test after a two-week study period. Students who are two or more levels below the required score for their program in reading may be able to take a remedial course.

EGTC reserves the right to refuse readmission to any applicant who has an unacceptable academic or conduct record. Individuals with financial obligations to the college must resolve these obligations before they will be allowed to register for classes.

EGTC’s tuition and fee are often more affordable than other instructional programs in the Denver metro area. Tuition and fees are paid when registering for classes. Payment arrangements are required at the time of registration. Payment guarantees space in a class. Registrations not paid in five business days will be deleted from the system.

Tuition, material, and book fees vary from course to course. Please see the catalog page for your program or contact the Registration Center for a complete, up-to-date listing of all courses and respective costs.

Tuition and fees for instructional programs are reviewed periodically by the school administrators and are subject to change without prior notification.

EGTC's simple tuition and fee structure allows us to offer some of the lowest per credit program costs in the state. 2016-17 tuition and fees have three standard components:

  1. Tuition per credit varies by program, due to the unique costs of each program, from $38-$211 per credit hour.
  2. Every student is charged a technology fee of $22 per credit which funds the student information system and critical technology needs.
  3. Each student pays a capital improvement fee of $2 per credit which pays for maintenance and upgrades specific to the building needs of EGTC. For more information about tuition and fees, please visit with your advisor.
