Automotive Service

The Automotive Technology program will prepare you for work in the automotive repair industry. You will be educated both in theory and hands-on applications covering all eight Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) topics. Our program is designed to develop job-ready entry level technicians who are prepared to enter the repair field. Emily Griffith Technical College follows ASE guidelines for each subject.

Our program takes a hands on approach to education. You will have the opportunity to work on school vehicles, taking them apart and putting them back together as they would in a repair facility. Teams are limited to approximately 3 or 4 students to ensure everyone experiences a hands-on education.

When completed, you will have the opportunity to earn eight individual certificates. One for each ASE subject:

  • Electrical/ Electronics
  • Brakes
  • Steering and Suspension
  • Engine Repair
  • Automatic Transmissions
  • Manual Transmissions and Axles
  • Heating and Air Conditioning
  • Engine Performance

You will also have the opportunity to earn an Automotive Technology Certificate which verifies you have completed and passed all eight of the ASE Topics.

Other benefits for attending EGTC, in addition to the opportunities for employment in this industry, are our substantial support in job placement along with our strong ties with industry partners such as NAPA.

Our Automotive Service program is affordable, attainable and will provide you with the opportunity to graduate debt free. Apply now to Emily Griffith Technical College and start your journey.
